"Our community has more than doubled in population in the past 10-15 years and yet we still experience that “beach attitude” where you can watch the sunsets and sunrises; stroll on the beach; play in the water; or amble through acres of beautiful wooded natural Florida. It really is a great place to visit, live, and work." -Gayle Oberst, Mayor of Panama City Beach
Panama City Beach is the perfect place to bring up your children or enjoy a relaxing retirement. And, it’s a great time to be considering a permanent move to the area! Panama City Beach has been forecasted by CNN.com’s Money Magazine as the top city for the fastest growth in the nation. A lot is developing here…just look around! Our local infrastructure is strong. There are many medical facilities available to residents; schools are expanding their curriculums and amenities; we’re building bigger, better roads to service new, affordable, housing and the newly built international airport in West Bay. There are also plans for improved public transportation in the works.
When you live here and want to enjoy your downtime, there are services to suit any lifestyle, whether your idea of fun is indulging in a day at the spa or hitting the outstanding hike and bike trails the area has to offer. There are restaurants, retail and attractions available to feed, clothe and entertain the whole family! The aquatics center at the Frank Brown Park is a particular source of pride for our community. The world-class facility is open year round to the public.
As we enter a new era, the community is making great strides to live green and encourage green building. We’re very excited about the development of the Audubon Center in West Bay. Ecotourism is expected to gain popularity in the panhandle with outdoor adventures available for those in who want to incorporate conservation and purpose with their play.
Please keep all these wonderful assets in mind while consider a move to Panama City Beach.
And, don’t forget our most important asset – the warm, welcoming people who’ve already made Panama City Beach their home.
